My Approach

I believe therapy should feel safe, accessible, approachable, comfortable and even enjoyable. With me, you will not feel judged. My approach to therapy is simple: I ask that you show up. Being here is enough. 

After 15 years of working in the non-profit sector helping others, I realized my passion was rooted in helping the individual. Five years ago, when my kids were very young and I was experiencing significant loss in my personal life, I returned to school to pursue a second masters degree in psychotherapy. My commitment to helping others drove me to where I am today. I tailor our sessions to your unique needs and I'm invested in your outcomes. To me, trust is paramount. I'm a lifelong learner who has completed more than 40 trainings and is committed to growing and advancing my skills and knowledge. To me, life is an ocean with waves that rise and fall and we must learn to do the same.

Modalities:

I use use evidence-based, integrative approaches, including narrative therapy, attachment theory, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and strengths-based. I am a person-centered therapist who works with clients in the long run.
